Limmud Ba’Salon

Walking Through the Shadow of October 7

On Sunday evening, October 6, 2024, Limmud Seattle is hosting a Learning in the Living Room - a Limmud Ba'Salon: Walking Through the Shadow of October 7.

As we approach the one year anniversary of October 7, we confront this tragedy while at the same time we confront ourselves during the Yamim Noraim, the Days of Awe.  How do we acknowledge the suffering of our history while moving forward through Yom Kippur toward hope and light on the other side?

Limmud Seattle will gather at the close of Tzom Gedalia (the fast of Gedalia) in small, informal groups in people's homes throughout the Greater Puget Sound area.  We hope the gatherings will create deeper connections with others and give us a chance to share our griefs and our hopes.  Expect an enriching night of learning, discussion, and connection as we honor our heritage and strengthen our communal bonds.

Join Limmud Seattle on the Sunday before Yom Kippur, October 6, from 7:15pm to 9:15pm.  We plan to have hosts in North Seattle, South Seattle, First Hill Seattle, South Bellevue, Everett, and Olympia.  We are also excited to offer a virtual salon for those who are unable to join us in person.
